One run was the difference at The O.K. Corral as the Gotham Gold Gloves
defeated the Tombstone Huckleberries 2 to 1.
Gotham won the game with a run in the top of the 8th inning. After an out was
recorded, Phil Gosselin slapped a single. Brett Gardner followed and he drew
a walk. Amed Rosario was a strikeout victim, unable to help out. Paul
Goldschmidt followed next and he doubled scoring the run. The Tombstone
batters went down meekly in the bottom of the 9th.
Eduardo Rodriguez(1-2) got credit for the victory, pitching 7 innings and
allowing 1 run. Patrick Sandoval got the save, his 2nd. Aroldis Chapman(0-1)
was the loser in relief.
