Luis Garcia dominated striking out 11 Gotham batters as the Tombstone
Huckleberries bested the Gotham Gold Gloves 3 to 2 at The O.K.
Corral.
Garcia(2-0) put on a good performance. He didn't give up much, just 3 hits
and 1 walk in 7 innings. Gotham made it exciting in the 9th, but they were
unable to push the needed runs across.
Garcia got help from Craig Kimbrel who earned his 3rd save. Garrett
Richards(0-2) was the losing pitcher. His ERA increased from 1.42 to 2.41 as
he allowed 3 runs in 6 innings.
The Tombstone fans were thrilled by the performance put forth by Garcia, but
it was clearly his strikeouts that they enjoyed most. 'When he reached 10
strikeouts the fans showed him their appreciation with a loud cheer.' Doug
Salzwedel said following the game.
