Nate Lowe hit one over the fence and had 2 RBI and Matt Shoemaker reeled off a
total of 11 strikeouts at Jurassic Park as the Tampico Stogies beat the
Dyersville Jurassics by the count of 8 to 3.
Shoemaker(7-6) was on top of his game. He surrendered only 2 hits and no
walks in 7 innings lowering his ERA to 3.90. Tampico finished with 14 hits
while Dyersville ended up with 6.
Griffin Canning(8-14) absorbed the loss. He was hit hard and gave up 11 hits
and 2 walks in 7 innings. Jim Aldrich was impressed with Shoemaker and his
11 strikeouts. 'It's tough to generate runs if you can't make contact with
the ball.'
