At Long Grove CG, the Vernon fans witnessed a great pitcher's duel. Patrick
Corbin(9-16) finally bested his San Ybel opposite, Antonio Senzatela(12-9),
by the score of 2 to 1.
Vernon tallied 1 run in the bottom of the 5th inning. San Ybel threatened in
the 9th but their rally came up short.
Corbin got help from Raisel Iglesias who was credited with his 10th save.
Senzatela took the loss. He allowed just 3 hits and 2 walks in 7 innings.
'I always am most impressed when a pitcher finds a way to win even without his
best stuff,' John Stryker said after the game. 'Corbin did not have command
of his pitches most of the night, but he proved he really knew how to pitch!'
