Tyler Glasnow took a no-hitter into the 6th inning and Nate Lowe had 2 base
hits as the Tampico Stogies bested the league door-mat Streator Reds 4 to 3
at Streator Park.
Glasnow(11-6) was simply too much for the Streator batters. He allowed only 2
hits and 2 walks in 7 innings. Glasnow struckout 10 Streator batters. The
right-handed Glasnow lost a no-hitter when Nick Senzel singled with two outs
in the 6th inning. Streator threatened in the 9th but their rally came up
short.
Glasnow got relief help from Hector Neris who gained credit for his 35th save.
Vince Velasquez(3-9) took the loss. 'I had my good stuff tonight.' Glasnow
said. 'As the game went along I started to get the feeling that I was going
to strike out a bunch of hitters.'
