Second baseman Jose Altuve slammed a homerun and had 4 RBI as the Hollywood
Marines rallied impressively to win in dramatic style over Holland
Heffalumps, 11 to 10.
Hollywood had the winning rally in the 9th inning with 3 runs on 2 hits.
After an out was recorded, Pedro Severino initiated the scoring spurt when he
delivered a one-base hit. Victor Reyes next to the plate and he drew a walk.
Altuve then smacked a three-run homer resulting in a mighty exciting win for
Hollywood and the 19,179 home town fans in attendance. This was a game of
many highs and lows for the home town fans, as the lead kept changing - 5
times in all.
Austin Gomber(3-2) picked up the victory, allowing 2 runs in 2 and 2/3
innings. Diego Castillo(6-4) ended up with the loss in relief. He was unable
to retire a batter allowing 1 hit and 1 walk.
'Now that is what I call fun! I just love baseball, especially games like
this, of course,' Brian Anderson offered. 'Everyone at the stadium had a
great time - did you see the fans go wild there at the end?!'
