Austin Meadows had 2 base hits as the Hollywood Marines defeated the
struggling Tombstone Huckleberries 6 to 3 at The O.K. Corral.
Tombstone was unable to claim the lead after Hollywood went ahead in the 4th
inning with 2 runs on 3 hits. Dansby Swanson led off the inning for
Hollywood when he reached on an error. J.D. Davis was next to bat, but he
was a strikeout victim. Bobby Dalbec then laced a single resulting in a run.
Sean Murphy stepped in and he ripped a single. Pete Alonso followed, but he
was set down on strikes. Magneuris Sierra joined his teammates in the
uprising and doubled scoring the final run of the inning. Hollywood managed
11 hits in their victory.
Frankie Montas(1-11) went 7 innings allowing no runs for the win. Luis
Garcia(2-4) was given the loss. He was the victim of a defensive lapse and
did not allow an earned run in the game.
