Jose Ramirez had 3 base hits as the seemingly unstoppable Dublin Pubcrawlers
bested the Gotham Gold Gloves 4 to 3 at Edsel Stadium.
Shane Bieber(18-4) was solid if not spectacular. He went 5 and 1/3 innings
and surrended up 4 hits and 2 walks. Bieber recorded 7 strikeouts and
allowed 2 gopher balls. The Gotham batters didn't put up a fight in the
bottom of the 9th.
Bieber was helped out by Nick Anderson who recorded his 25th save. Brent
Suter(4-5) was the loser. This win by Dublin continues their recent hot
streak. In their last ten games, they have a record of 8-2. For the season,
they are a division leading 93-51. With this loss, Gotham has a 5-5 record
of late, 69-75 overall.
