Aaron Hicks had 3 base hits and 2 RBI and Corbin Burnes racked up an
impressive total of 11 strikeouts at Streator Park as the New York The Yanks
beat the struggling Streator Reds by the count of 9 to 0.
Burnes(11-5) pitched one of his finer games as he simply was too much for the
Streator batters. He gave up just 3 hits and 1 walk in 7 innings. For the
game New York out-hit Streator 14 to 5.
Randy Dobnak(3-4) was charged with the loss. Ralph Madara was impressed with
Burnes and his 11 strikeouts. 'It's tough to generate runs if you can't make
contact with the ball.'
