Paul Goldschmidt had 2 base hits and 2 RBI as the Gotham Gold Gloves bested
the Hollywood Marines 7 to 4 at Comerica Park.
Gotham had the winning rally in the top of the 8th inning scoring 3 runs on 2
hits. Paul Dejong led off and got things going when he drew a walk. Alex
Gordon next to the plate and he drew a walk. Goldschmidt then delivered a
one-base hit bringing in a run. Sandy Leon came up and he laid down a
sacrifice bunt. Kolten Wong came to the plate and stroked a base-hit with
two more runners crossing home. Gotham totaled 8 hits on the night.
Brent Suter(4-4) got credit for the victory, pitching 4 innings and allowing 1
run. Shawn Armstrong(1-3) suffered the loss in relief.
