19,945 fans were treated to a fine game at Aarlington Field as only one run
separated the combatants at game's end. The New York The Yanks won by the
slimmest of margins, 6 to 5.
Aarlington found themselves trailing quickly as the New York bats came through
in the first inning when they scored 2 runs on 1 hit. Aarlington threatened
in the 9th but New York was able to put down the rally.
Luis Castillo(13-3) got the win allowing 2 runs in 7 innings. Daniel Bard
recorded his 14th save. Mike Clevinger(5-9) was charged with the loss.
'We didn't get the key hits when we needed them' Steve Linke said. 'We did
what we could, we just didn't pull out the win. What can you say?'
