Eloy Jimenez had 4 hits and 6 RBI as the smoking-hot Columbus Crowd ballclub
embarrassed the Dyersville Jurassics by the count of 12 to 0.
Jimenez enjoyed a fine evening at the plate. He lined a one-base hit knocking
in a run in the 3rd inning, ripped a base-hit which plated a run in the 7th
inning, doubled plating a run in the 8th inning and doubled with all three
runners coming home in the 9th inning. Columbus had 17 hits overall, while
Dyersville had 2.
The win was credited to Tyler Mahle(8-3) who went 5 and 2/3 innings allowing
no runs. Griffin Canning(7-9) took the loss. Columbus extended their winning
streak to 7 games. 'We've really come alive lately,' Frank Lopeman said. 'We
won some tough games and I feel real good about this ballclub right now, and
hopefully we'll continue the roll we're on.'
