Nelson Cruz jacked one out of the ballyard and had 3 RBI as the Dublin
Pubcrawlers defeated the struggling Palatine Cubs in 11 innings 11 to 9 at
Sahlen Field.
The game was deadlocked at 9 after nine full innings. Dublin won the game in
the 11th inning. After an out was recorded, Donovan Solano keyed the rally
when he tripled resulting in a run. Jose Ramirez was next and he was hit by
a pitch. Cruz then stroked a single scoring the final run of the inning.
Dublin managed 15 hits in their victory.
The win was credited to Jeremy Jeffress(4-3) who went 1 and 1/3 innings
allowing 2 runs. Jeffress was helped out by Tony Watson who recorded his 5th
save. Ryan Pressly(2-4) ended up with the loss in relief. He allowed 2 hits
and no walks in 1 inning.
