The Aarlington Aardvarks defeated the New York The Yanks by a score of 5 to 2
at Aarlington Field.
Aarlington scored 3 runs in the 5th inning. Adalberto Mondesi led off and got
things going when he lined a single. After an out was recorded, Mondesi
proceeded to steal third base. Jeff McNeil was the next batter, but he
struck out. Alec Bohm came up and he reached on an error knocking in a run.
Gio Urshela stepped into the box and bombed a two-run dinger. Aarlington had
a total of 7 hits for the game.
Taylor Clarke(6-9) went 5 innings allowing 1 run for the win. Buck Farmer
earned his 2nd save. The loss was charged to Corbin Burnes(8-3). While he
was the losing pitcher, he still struck out 10 batters in 5 and 2/3 innings.
