Stogies beat the Holland Heffalumps 6 to 1.
Diaz was unconscious out there. While Holland pitching was serving softballs
up there for him to hit, the Holland fans were serving up some hardball barbs
when he entered the batter's box. But he just used it as fuel for the fire.
He smacked a three-run homer in the 1st inning, lofted a solo-blast
'downtown' in the 4th inning and doubled in the 6th inning. Tampico ended up
with 9 hits for the game while Holland had 4.
The win went to Rick Porcello(5-8) who allowed 1 run in 7 innings. Logan
Webb(2-4) took the loss. Wth the win Tampico now has a record of 39-57.
Holland has a record of 45-51 after the loss.
