Anthony Santander smashed 3 homeruns and had 8 RBI at The Heffadrome as the
Holland Heffalumps, running on all cylinders, ripped the Tampico Stogies by a
large 13 to 1 margin.
Santander had a great evening at the plate. He had the crowd cheering his
every move. He tripled in the 1st inning, lofted a three-run 'big-fly' in
the 2nd inning, popped a two-run clout over the fence in the 7th inning and
belted a three-run homer in the 8th inning. Holland had 14 hits for the
night while Tampico had 6.
Nathan Eovaldi(3-9) allowed 1 run in 7 innings, and picked up the victory.
Jose Urquidy(4-2) was the losing pitcher. By giving up 6 runs in 1 and 2/3
innings his ERA increased from 2.32 to 3.45.
'I was in my hotel room the other night, working on my swing and made some
adjustments,' Santander said. 'I'm always working on it. If they are getting
you out certain ways, you've got to make changes.'
