Alex Dickerson went yard and had 6 RBI and Peter Fairbanks was the winner at
Comerica Park as the Dyersville Jurassics beat the Hollywood Marines 8 to
7.
Dickerson led the offense for Dyersville. He lost the ball over the fence for
three runs in the 3rd inning and doubled with all three baserunners touching
home in the 6th inning. Hollywood threatened in the 9th but their rally came
up short.
The winning pitcher was Jack Flaherty(5-2) who allowed 5 runs in 5 and 2/3
innings. Flaherty got help from Sergio Romo who was credited with his 3rd
save. Frankie Montas(0-5) absorbed the loss. He was knocked around by
Dyersville, allowing 8 hits and 2 walks in 5 and 2/3 innings.
'Everything felt great' Flaherty said. 'I had a good fastball, I felt I could
throw it by everybody tonight.'
