D.J. Lemahieu had 4 hits and 2 RBI at West Side Park where the Chicago Colts
beat the Dyersville Jurassics by the score of 15 to 10.
Lemahieu made sure the Chicago fans enjoyed themselves. He smashed a
bases-empty 'big-fly' in the 2nd inning, stroked a base-hit in the 5th
inning, banged out a single in the 6th inning and laced a base-knock in the
8th inning. Chicago kept the scorekeepers busy in the 5th inning when they
had 4 runs on 5 hits and the 8th inning which saw them plate 4 runs on 3
hits. Offensively, Chicago was a juggernaut. They scored in 6 separate
innings.
The win went to Mark Melancon(3-3) who allowed no runs in 1 and 2/3 innings.
Aaron Slegers earned the save, his 9th. Chad Green(2-1) was the loser in
relief. He pitched 1 and 2/3 innings giving up 5 hits and 2 walks.
