D.J. Lemahieu smashed 2 homeruns and had 4 RBI as the Chicago Colts defeated
the Hollywood Marines 12 to 6 at West Side Park.
Lemahieu was a one-man wrecking crew. He tripled plating a run in the 3rd
inning, ripped a solo home run in the 5th inning, doubled resulting in a run
in the 6th inning and lofted a solo-blast 'downtown' in the 8th inning.
Hollywood had 15 hits in the game while Chicago had 11, but Chicago had the
more timely hits.
Ryan Yarbrough(6-2) got the win allowing 3 runs in 6 and 1/3 innings. Jesus
Luzardo(1-3) took the loss. He was not very effective, surrendering 7 runs
in 2 and 1/3 innings.
'It's almost like the ball was trying to hit my bat,' Lemahieu said. 'Whenever
I would swing, the ball found the sweet spot.'
