In a thriling finish the Hollywood Marines pulled off the win over the
Streator Reds by a score of 5 to 4 at Comerica Park.
The deciding run was scored by Hollywood in the 9th. After an out was
recorded, Yairo Munoz delivered a base-hit. One out later, Jonathan Schoop
came to the plate and slapped a single making Hollywood victorious to the
delight of the the home town crowd. Hollywood had 12 hits for the game and
Streator had 5.
The win was credited to Darren O'Day(5-2) who went 1 and 1/3 innings allowing
no runs. Junior Guerra(1-2) absorbed the loss in relief. Hollywood continued
on their recent roll, their winning streak now reaching 6 games and counting.
