Wil Myers ripped 2 homeruns and had 5 RBI as the New York The Yanks bested the
Streator Reds in 11 innings 8 to 7 at Lateralus Parabola.
The game was deadlocked at 6 after nine full innings. New York won the hard
fought contest in the 11th inning. After two were out Jose Peraza doubled
giving New York the win as 37,216 happy fans joyfully celebrated. New York
finished with 13 hits while Streator ended up with 7.
Chasen Shreve(1-1) went 1 and 2/3 innings allowing no runs for the win.
Triston McKenzie(0-3) took the loss in relief. He was a hard-luck loser as
he did not allow an earned run in his 1 and 1/3 innings of work.
'Myers led the way - we just jumped on his back and let him take us,' Shreve
said. 'I'm glad I don't have to face him. I'm glad he's on my team.'
