Palatine Cubs in 11 innings 4 to 3.
Both teams had scored 3 runs after nine full innings. Oakland won the hard
fought contest in the 11th inning. Ian Happ drew a walk. Yadier Molina was
next and he grounded into a double play. Ryan Pressly then threw a pitch
that got away from the catcher scoring the run. Oakland finished with 12
hits while Palatine ended up with 9.
The winning pitcher was Jordan Romano(1-3) who allowed no runs in 1 and 2/3
innings. Pressly(0-1) absorbed the loss in relief. He was the victim of a
defensive lapse and did not allow an earned run in the game.
