Adam Duvall had 2 base hits as the Streator Reds beat the Holland Heffalumps
by a score of 3 to 2.
Streator did all the necessary damage in the 1st inning plating 3 runs
utilizing 2 base hits. Carlos Santana led off and he drew a walk. After an
out was recorded, Duvall came to bat and ripped a one-base hit which scored a
run. Duvall took second on the throw. Willson Contreras then reached on an
error. One out later, Evan Longoria came to bat and singled as two more
runners crossed the plate. That was all the runs Ian Anderson(2-0) needed.
Although they lost, Holland did out-hit Streator 7 to 4.
Blake Treinen earned his 2nd save. Nathan Eovaldi(2-1) was given the loss.
'I had a little blister on my index finger before the game, but I thought it
was nothing.' Anderson said. 'I was lucky I got a win because I couldn't put
the ball where I wanted it.'
