Kurt Suzuki smashed 2 homeruns as the Tombstone Huckleberries bested the
Dyersville Jurassics 8 to 6 at The O.K. Corral.
Tommy Hunter(2-0) was called upon to do the job and he was the winning
pitcher. He went 1 and 2/3 innings allowing 2 hits and no walks lowering his
ERA to 3.38. Dyersville made it exciting in the 9th, but they were unable to
push the needed runs across.
Giovanny Gallegos recorded the save, his 3rd. Amir Garrett(0-1) was given the
loss in relief. 'We just made a lot of mistakes, mostly mental,' Jim Aldrich
said. 'It's bad enough when the other team beats you, but when you start
beating yourselves, that's really bad.'
