Edwin Rios hit 2 doubles as the Dyersville Jurassics won at Jurassic Park in
dramatic fashion over the reeling Caracas Leones, the final score, 9 to
8.
The game was won by Dyersville with a run in the 9th inning. Rios doubled.
Tejay Antone then let one slip out of his hand for a wild pitch. After an
out was recorded, Starling Marte then banged out a single resulting in an
exciting win for Dyersville and a raucous post-game celebration by the home
town fans. This was the kind of game that many fans love as the lead changed
hands 5 times.
The win went to Jonathan Loaisiga(1-0) who allowed no runs in 2 and 1/3
innings. The loss was charged to Antone(0-1) in relief. Shortstop Fernando
Tatis Jr blasted 2 homeruns and had 5 RBI but his offense was not enough to
carry Caracas to victory.
