C.J. Cron rocketed 2 homeruns and had 3 RBI at The O.K. Corral as the
phenomenal Vernon Hillbillies beat the Tombstone Huckleberries 5 to 3.
The Tombstone fans didn't appreciate the big day Cron had. He clubbed a
two-run home run in the 1st inning and smashed a bases-empty 'big-fly' in the
3rd inning. Although they lost, Tombstone did out-hit Vernon 12 to 9.
The victory was credited to Alex Young(2-2) who went 5 and 2/3 innings,
allowing 2 runs. Zack Britton preserved the game for Young, recording his his
18th save. Mike Minor(13-14) suffered the loss. He served up 3 homeruns in
his 6 innings.
