J.D. Martinez knocked 2 homeruns and had 5 RBI as the Tombstone Huckleberries
topped the San Ybel Islanders by a score of 8 to 7 at The O.K. Corral.
The home town fans were very appreciative of the fine hitting performance
provided by Martinez. He blasted a two-run home run in the 1st inning and
rifled a three-run blast in the 3rd inning. San Ybel tried unsuccessfully to
come back in the 9th.
Carlos Carrasco(2-0) went 3 and 1/3 innings allowing no runs for the win.
Carrasco got help from Aroldis Chapman who earned his 27th save. Danny
Duffy(8-4) was hit with the loss. He was not very effective, surrendering 5
runs in 2 and 2/3 innings.
