Catcher Kurt Suzuki launched 2 homeruns and scored 4 times as the Tombstone
Huckleberries defeated the San Ybel Islanders by a score of 8 to 6 at The
O.K. Corral.
Suzuki enjoyed a fine evening at the plate. He stroked a single in the 1st
inning, doubled in the 3rd inning, smashed a bases-empty 'big-fly' in the 4th
inning, singled in the 6th inning and clubbed a solo home run in the 7th
inning. Tombstone had 15 hits for the night while San Ybel had 6.
The winning pitcher was Will Smith(6-1) who allowed no runs in 2 innings.
Aroldis Chapman recorded the save, his 26th. Colin Poche(4-3) absorbed the
loss in relief.
'I felt great out there tonight,' Suzuki said, 'Maybe I should make a regular
habit of getting to bed on time!'
