With the crowd on their collective feet, screaming at the top of their lungs,
Dyersville Jurassics rallied to top Streator Reds by the score of 3 to
2.
Dyersville erupted with the game winning runs in the bottom of the 9th inning
scoring 2 runs utilizing 2 base hits. Eduardo Escobar led off and started
the attack as he drew a walk. Rougned Odor was a strikeout victim, unable to
help out. Chris Taylor then doubled. Victor Robles was up next and he was
walked intentionally to load the bases. Eric Hosmer stepped into the box and
stroked a base-hit giving Dyersville the win and sending the home town fans
into a frenzy. Dyersville managed 7 hits in their victory.
Ryan Pressly(9-3) got credit for the victory, pitching 2/3 of an inning and
allowing no runs. Adrian Sampson(0-1) was the loser in relief.
'That was exciting!,' Taylor said. 'I would have paid money to watch this
one.'
