Mauricio Dubon ripped 2 homeruns and had 3 RBI at The Horseshoe as the
Tombstone Huckleberries embarrassed the Columbus Crowd by the lopsided score
of 17 to 7.
Dubon had a big day against Columbus. He delivered a single in the 2nd
inning, smashed a bases-empty 'big-fly' in the 4th inning and popped a
two-run clout over the fence in the 6th inning. Tombstone bats were hot in
the 1st inning which saw them score 4 runs on 4 hits and the 4th inning with
7 runs on 5 hits. Despite scoring in 6 separate innings, Columbus could not
get the win.
The victory went to Jeff Samardzija(7-10) who went 5 and 2/3 innings, allowing
3 runs. Andrew Heaney(6-4) absorbed the loss. He was touched for 5 homeruns
in his 1 and 2/3 innings of work.
