Wilmer Font went 5 strong innings as the Tombstone Huckleberries defeated the
Dyersville Jurassics by a score of 4 to 1 at The O.K. Corral.
Tombstone came up with all the runs they needed in the 6th inning when they
came up with 4 runs on 3 hits. The key offensive moment was provided by
Miguel Cabrera who made the Tombstone fans a happy lot when he lifted one out
of the park for a two run home run. Neither team was able to score until the
6th inning.
The win was credited to Sam Dyson(2-1) who went 2 innings allowing no runs.
Aaron Nola(6-12) was the losing pitcher. With the win, Tombstone continued
their winning ways; their streak now stands at 6 games and counting. Jim
Aldrich was very irritated after the contest. 'Just our luck to run into a
team that's playing like a juggernaut right now. I have to congratulate Doug
Salzwedel on his team's recent performance. A very impressive run.'
