The Dyersville Jurassics and the dreadful Streator Reds locked up in an
exciting one-run game at Streator Park. The final score was the Dyersville
Jurassics 3, the dreadful Streator Reds 2.
Dyersville scored 2 runs in the decisive 2nd inning. The highlight belonged
to Victor Robles who quieted the home crowd when he laced a single plating
two runs. Streator threatened in the 9th but their rally came up short.
The victory was credited to Jack Flaherty(11-9) who went 8 innings, allowing 2
runs. Sergio Romo recorded the save, his 28th. Dallas Keuchel(5-8) ended up
with the loss.
Wth the win Dyersville now has a record of 59-75. Ralph Madara was pretty
down after the loss. 'We've really been sputtering along lately, something
like 1-9 in the last week or two. That won't get it done.'
