Aaron Nola carried a no-hitter into the 6th inning as the Dyersville Jurassics
topped the dreadful Streator Reds by a score of 3 to 0 at Streator
Park.
Nola(6-11) contributed a very nicely pitched game. He allowed only 2 hits and
5 walks in 8 innings. The right-handed Nola lost his chance for a no-hitter
when Evan Longoria singled with nobody out in the 6th inning. Dyersville
ended up with 12 hits for the game while Streator had 2.
Nola got relief help from Sergio Romo who gained credit for his 27th save.
Chris Sale(5-11) was hit with the loss. He was hit hard and gave up 9 hits
and 2 walks in 6 innings.
The Dyersville ballclub's record now stands at 57-75. Streator can't seem to
snap out of their recent 'funk'. Now they have a miserable 1-9 record over
the last couple weeks.
