Sandy Alcantara whiffed 10 batters and second baseman Ehire Adrianza hit one
over the fence and had 3 RBI as the dominant Hollywood Marines defeated the
Dyersville Jurassics by a score of 5 to 0 at Comerica Park.
Alcantara(10-9) was solid in the win. He didn't allow much, just 3 hits and 5
walks in 7 innings improving his ERA from 4.93 to 4.67. Hollywood had 10
hits for the game and Dyersville had 3.
John Brebbia preserved the game for Alcantara, recording his his 5th save.
Griffin Canning(3-3) was charged with the loss. Alcantara was jubilant in
the hometown clubhouse, 'It was a lot of fun out there. The fans gave me a
lot of support as did my teammates. We got the victory and I'll sure take 10
strikeouts anytime!'
