At Wrigley Field Aaron Bummer(6-1) got the win and the seemingly unstoppable
Hollywood Marines shutout the Oakland Athletics 2 to 0.
Hollywood had the game winning rally in the 9th inning scoring 2 runs
utilizing 2 base hits. Jose Altuve led off and started the rally when he
doubled. One out later, Pete Alonso followed, but he was set down on
strikes. George Springer then clubbed a two-run home run. Both teams
totaled 4 hits on the night.
Liam Hendriks recorded his 19th save. Aaron Brooks(2-3) was hit with the loss
in relief. It was another victory for Hollywood at Wrigley Field. Now their
winning streak stands at 9 games. Brian Anderson was in a talkative mood
after the ballgame. 'Fellows, I don't know what to tell you. our guys are
just playing lights out lately. Everything and everybody is just really
hitting on all cylinders. I know it can't last forever - but that isn't
going to stop us from trying!'
