Vernon Hillbillies beat the Tombstone Huckleberries 4 to 3.
Cole(8-2) pitched well for Vernon in their victory. He allowed 4 hits and 2
walks in 6 innings. Tombstone made it exciting in the 9th, but they were
unable to push the needed runs across.
Zack Britton earned the save, his 9th. Wilmer Font(0-2) took the loss. Cole,
when asked about his 13 strikeout performance noted, 'The important thing is
that we won, if I get 20 and we lose, what good does it do our team? But, on
the other hand, since we won it feels great!'
