German Marquez reeled off a total of 10 strikeouts as the San Ybel Islanders
bested the Woodfield Roadkyll in 11 innings 5 to 4 at SunTrust Park.
The score was tied at 4 after nine. San Ybel came out on top in the 11th
inning. Alex Bregman lashed a single. Cody Bellinger stepped into the
batter's box and he lined a one-base hit. Bellinger took his lead and swiped
second. Ryan Braun followed and he reached on an error resulting in a mighty
exciting win for San Ybel and the 27,130 home town fans in attendance.
Woodfield out-hit San Ybel 16 to 11, but San Ybel ended up with more runs.
The win was credited to Anthony Bass(2-1) who went 1/3 of an inning allowing
no runs. Michael Lorenzen(5-4) was the losing pitcher in relief. He was
unable to retire a batter allowing 2 hits and no walks.
