25,415 fans were treated to a fine game at Jurassic Park as only one run
separated the combatants at game's end. The Dyersville Jurassics won by the
slimmest of margins, 5 to 4.
The game was won by Dyersville with a run in the bottom of the 8th inning.
After two were out Danny Santana delivered a solo blast. San Ybel threatened
in the 9th but their rally came up short.
The win was credited to Tommy Kahnle(1-0) who went 1/3 of an inning allowing
no runs. Sergio Romo earned his 9th save. Craig Stammen(1-1) was given the
loss in relief.
'Fundamentals, fundamentals, fundamentals' said Craig Ahrndt after the game.
'We lost this game tonight because we didn't follow the instructions every
Little Leaguer hears every day.'
