Mike Clevinger mowed down 12 Dyersville batters and Shohei Ohtani homered as
the Aarlington Aardvarks topped the Dyersville Jurassics by a score of 2 to 0
at Jurassic Park.
Clevinger(4-1) looked very much in control throughout the night. He was
stingy on the mound, allowing just 5 hits and no walks in 6 innings dropping
his ERA from 3.89 to 3.40. The pitchers took over after the 2nd inning as
neither team was able to score again.
Ryan Brasier got the save, his 3rd. The loss was charged to Eric Lauer(0-5).
He allowed 2 runs and 6 hits in 6 and 2/3 innings. 'I had my good stuff
tonight.' Clevinger said. 'As the game went along I started to get the
feeling that I was going to strike out a bunch of hitters.'
