Lucas Giolito whiffed 10 batters as the New York The Yanks rallied
impressively to win in dramatic style over Aarlington Aardvarks, 4 to 3.
New York scored the winning runs in the top of the 9th inning plating 2 runs
utilizing 2 base hits. After an out was recorded, Joey Gallo began things
off when he ripped a solo home run. Wil Myers stepped into the batter's box
and he smashed a solo-shot out of the park. Seth Lugo relieved and was
untouched by Aarlington as he recorded the save, his 7th.
The win went to Ross Stripling(1-1) who allowed 1 run in 2 innings. The loss
was charged to Ryan Brasier(2-2) in relief. Jim Calabrese was very happy
after the game, 'It's great to come back and win it in your last at bats! Our
guys just wouldn't give up. And did you see the fans - one minute they're
laughing and screaming down all sorts of unprintable stuff at our guys - the
next minute - SILENCE! Yes sir, a very enjoyable win tonight!'
