Elvis Andrus had 2 base hits at Streator Park where the Streator Reds beat the
Holland Heffalumps 5 to 4.
Holland lost it in the 2nd inning when Streator did all their damage when they
tallied 5 runs on 3 hits. The key at-bat was by Daniel Murphy who made the
Streator fans a happy lot when he cleared the fences for a two-run home run.
Holland had a chance to come back in the 9th but they came up short.
Rowan Wick(1-2) went 1 and 1/3 innings allowing no runs for the victory. Jose
Urena earned his 1st save. The losing pitcher was Andrew Cashner(0-2). He
pitched 1 and 1/3 innings allowing 2 hits and 4 walks.
'We didn't get the key hits when we needed them' Steve Seydell said. 'We did
what we could, we just didn't pull out the win. What can you say?'
