185 fans watched an exciting game at Wrigley Field. The Dublin Pubcrawlers
topped the Oakland Athletics by the slimmest of margins, 7 to 6.
Both teams were tied at 6 runs apiece after nine innings. Dublin ended up
winning it in the 10th inning. Shin-Soo Choo slapped a base-hit. After an
out was recorded, Eric Sogard came up and he singled. Roberto Perez then
worked the squeeze play to perfection scoring the run. The score went
back-and-forth with the lead changing 5 times.
The victory went to Taylor Rogers(1-0) who went 2 innings, allowing no runs.
Shane Greene(0-1) was the losing pitcher in relief. He surrendered 4 hits
and no walks in 1 and 1/3 innings.
