Second baseman Eric Sogard had 3 base hits and Justin Verlander racked up an
impressive total of 13 strikeouts as the Dublin Pubcrawlers beat the
Dyersville Jurassics in 10 innings by a score of 5 to 4.
The score was knotted at 4 after nine innings. Dublin was victorious in the
10th inning. Joey Votto laced a base-knock. Jorge Polanco stepped up to the
plate and he slapped a single. Michael Brantley then was hit by a pitch.
Nelson Cruz came up and he ripped a base-hit making Dublin victorious to the
delight of the the home town crowd. Dublin had 16 hits for the night while
Dyersville had 9.
Steve Cishek(1-0) went 1 inning allowing no runs for the win. Brandon
