The very potent Holland Heffalumps defeated the New York The Yanks by a score
of 10 to 7 at The Coliseum.
New York was unable to recover after Holland went ahead in the 6th inning as
they scored 3 runs on 2 base hits. Due to a poorly pitched ballgame, scoring
in 5 different innings was still not enough for New York to come away with
the victory.
Yusmeiro Petit(7-5) picked up the victory, allowing 3 runs in 2 innings. Jared
Hughes preserved the game for Petit, recording his his 13th save. Mike
Fiers(4-13) absorbed the loss. He allowed 4 homeruns in 5 and 1/3 innings of
work.
