Hernan Perez rocketed 3 homeruns and had 5 RBI as the Dyersville Jurassics
defeated the Tampico Stogies by the score of 13 to 8 at Busch Stadium.
Perez had a great evening at the plate. He delivered a solo blast in the 3rd
inning, lofted a solo-blast 'downtown' in the 7th inning and lofted a
three-run bomb in the 9th inning. Despite scoring in 6 separate innings,
Tampico could not get the win.
Aaron Nola(16-8) went 6 innings allowing 3 runs for the victory. Steven
Matz(9-9) was given the loss. He served up 3 gopher balls in 5 and 2/3
innings.
'I was in my hotel room the other night, working on my swing and made some
adjustments,' Perez said. 'I'm always working on it. If they are getting you
out certain ways, you've got to make changes.'
