one-run game at Long Grove CG. The final score was the San Ybel Islanders 6,
the Vernon Hillbillies 5.
San Ybel brought 3 runs across the plate in the 4th inning with the help of 4
hits. The highlight belonged to Ryan Braun who helped quiet the crowd when
he popped a two-run clout over the fence. The Vernon batters didn't put up a
fight in the bottom of the 9th.
James Paxton(7-7) went 7 innings allowing 5 runs for the win. Alex Colome was
credited with his 22nd save. Cole Hamels(8-9) took the loss. He got
hammered, allowing 11 hits and 3 walks in 6 and 2/3 innings.
