In a dramatic ending at the ballpark the Aarlington Aardvarks won in their
last at-bat beating the New York The Yanks by the count of 3 to 2.
The game was won by Aarlington when they scored a run in the bottom of the 9th
inning. Justin Upton ripped a one-base hit. Two outs later Marwin Gonzalez
stepped up to the plate and he laced a base-hit. Bradley Zimmer then stroked
a base-hit, and an error was also committed, giving Aarlington the win and
sending the home town fans into a frenzy. Aarlington had 8 hits overall,
while New York had 3.
The victory went to Tyler Clippard(1-4) who went 1 inning, allowing no runs.
Austin Pruitt(2-2) was hit with the loss in relief. It was a tough loss for
him as he did not allow an earned run in his 3 and 1/3 innings of work.
The Aarlington ballclub's record now stands at 60-67. With the loss New York
now has a record of 64-63.
