Freddy Galvis had 2 base hits at Long Grove CG where the San Ybel Islanders
beat the Vernon Hillbillies 7 to 6.
The deciding run was scored by San Ybel in the top of the 9th. After an out
was recorded, David Fletcher laced a single. Albert Almora Jr was next to
the plate, but was promptly struck out. Nicholas Castellanos then lined a
one-base hit. Alex Bregman came up and he laced a base-hit scoring the run.
San Ybel out-hit Vernon for the game, 11 hits to 6.
Yonny Chirinos(4-5) got credit for the victory, pitching 2 innings and
allowing no runs. Alex Colome earned the save, his 16th. Robert
Gsellman(1-1) absorbed the loss in relief. He pitched 1 and 1/3 innings
allowing 3 hits and no walks.
