First baseman David Freese had 4 hits at the ballpark as the Oakland Athletics
pulled off a dramatic comeback beating the Aarlington Aardvarks by the count
of 13 to 11.
Oakland won the game with a rally in the top of the 9th inning when they
tallied 6 runs on 3 hits. The big moment was provided by Freese who silenced
the ballpark as he emptied the bases with a Grand Slam homerun. Jaime Barria
was great in relief and recorded his 1st save.
The victory went to Jordan Hicks(1-0) who went 2/3 of an inning, allowing no
runs. Brad Hand(1-3) was charged with the loss in relief.
'Joe Ingraffia was estatic following the game, 'You love stealing one on the
road like this. We just kept plugging away until we pulled it out!'
