Jacob Degrom had an impressive outing as the Aarlington Aardvarks topped the
Hollywood Marines by a score of 2 to 0 at Comerica Park.
Aarlington jumped on top to stay in the 3rd inning plating one baserunner.
After an out was recorded, Bradley Zimmer drew a walk. Billy Hamilton next
to the plate and he lined a one-base hit. Jose Iglesias then hit a deep fly
scoring the run. The early run support proved sufficient for Degrom(11-3)
and Aarlington. That was all the run support Degrom required. Shawn Kelley
was perfect in the ninth giving him his 1st save on the season.
The losing pitcher was Eric Lauer(2-2). With this win, Aarlington has a 49-52
record. They have been 6-4 lately. Still in a bad slump, with this loss,
Hollywood is 2-8 lately and 42-59, worst in the division on the year.
